Four different pelleted feeds prepared using different plant matter viz. Padina, Elodea, Lemna and Bruguiera have been tried for their growth, conversion efficiency and moulting in M. idella. Of the four plants, Elodea proved best to be incorporated in prawn diets. The study revealed that M. idella requires a more proteinaceous and animal matter supplemented diet rather than an exclusive plan diet. |
