Monthly changes in beach profiles measured at 3 stations have been used to compute volume changes and foreshore slopes. Within the 800 m long pocket type of beach, there is considerable alongshore variability in volume changes and foreshore slopes. There is no definite linear relationship between the changes in the volume of foreshore and its slope due to 8 different possible types of profile changes. |
