Eighty isolates of marine photosynthetic bacteria belonging to Rhodospirillaceae, Chromatiaceae and Chlorobiaceae were isolated from seawater, marine sediments, decaying macroalgae and sea grass samples, collected from 8 stations along the southeast coast of India and ecological significance of these forms was discussed. |
