Concentration of humic acids was estimated in mangrove habitat (water and sediment) of Karwar for 1 y (May 1987 to April 1988). Particulate humic acid concentration was generally more than dissolved humic acid (DHA) concentration. All forms of humic acids showed monthly variation. A significant negative relationship was observed between DHA and salinity (r= - 0.93). |
