Seasonal variation in the distribution of macrobenthos in relation to environmental parameters has been studied at 5 different habitats of Kali Estuary. From a stepwise multiple regression analysis of the different environmental parameters over the macrobenthos density, it is found that in all, 11 parameters govern the density variations of macrobenthos in Kali Estuary and organic carbon of sediment and salinity being the highly significant ones. |
