Specific activities of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase and total ATPase (Na + -K+ -Mg-ATPase) and Na+ -K+ -ATPase were determined in hepatopancreas, gills and mantle muscles of K. opima after exposure to 0.07 and 0.14 mg.l-1 concentrations of mercuric chloride for 96 h. Activities of aminotransferase were elevated in all tissues except hepatopancreas. Na+ -K+-ATPase showed reduction in activity in all three tissues assayed. |
