The computed wave power potential for Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar group of islands is 10 kW.m-1 (annual) with 20 kW.M-1 during the SW monsoon season. Lakshadweep shows a higher potential during the SW monsoon season (June-September). With the deep sea conditions existing very close to all the islands maximum power generation appears possible from the waves. |
