An analysis has been carried out to determine the monthly, seasonal and annual rainfall variations, trend and its magnitude for Amini, and Minicoy islands of Union Territory of Lakshadweep for the period 1951-2004. Most of the monsoon and post monsoon months have positive trend while other months in general negative trend even though they are insignificant. The analysis of rainfall for different time spans failed to show any significant trend. |
