Variations in different ostracod species in relation to water quality such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity were studied during October 1976- December 1977. Ostracods were more abundant during the warm weather season (May-July) than in the cold weather season (Oct.-Dec.). Variation in the total number of ostracods did not show any specific relationship with either salinity or dissolved oxygen. |
