Br content of 28 species of marine algae collected from Tamil Nadu and Gujarat Coasts, India, were determined spectrophotometrically. It varied from 37 to 471, 155 to 521, and 100 to 730 ppm in green, red and brown algae on dry weight basis respectively. Among the green, red and brown algae Caulerpa recemosa (471), Gelidiella acerosa (521) and Sargassum wightii (730) respectively showed high Br content relatively. |
