Nematodes and gastrotrichs dominated during premonsoon season (February-May). The meiofauna during postmonsoon season (October-December), were composed of protozoans, benthic copepods and other groups like polychaetes and chironemid larvae. Peak abundance of meiofauna was in October. The meiofauna was related to the nature of sediment. |
