Eggs and larvae of A. hispidus are collected from Vellar Estuary, Tamil Nadu, India and reared up to 100 h stage (6 stages) in laboratory and rest of the stages (4 stages) are studied from plankton collection. Occurrence of the eggs and larvae in the estuary commences in October (sal. 19.81 x 10-3 and temp. 27.25ᵒC) and attains a peak in March to April (sal. 32.81-33.94 x 10-3 and temp. 29.38-30.20ᵒC). |
