Shell growth in L. anatina was found to be of polymodal type by length frequency method. Using Von Bertalanffy's model Lɑ approaches infinity was determined as 66.99 mm. The animal attained a shell length of 25.6, 38.64 and 47.56 mm at the end of 12, 24 and 36 months respectively. The life span of L. anatina appears to be about 6-7 y. |
