Distribution of acceleration potential, salinity and oxyty on the isanosteric surfaces of 300 and 400 cl/t, and also topography of these surfaces using isanosteric analysis are presented using data from the International Indian Ocean Expedition. The analyses indicate the presence of the South Equatorial Countercurrent on both the surfaces and the Tropical Countercurrent on the 300-cl/t surface. The incursion of the Pacific Ocean Water as a tongue of low salinity is depicted on these surface. |
