In P. fucata glycogen and total lipids are stored during prespawning period (February and November) and they decline in postspawning season (June and December). Protein increase during the peak gametogenic phase (June to September). The oysters show high values of cholesterol from the onset of gametogenesis in May and also throughout the period of the gametogenesis up to November. |
