Species composition and relative abundance of chaetognatha in plankton samples, collected from a sector (17°07' to 18°20'N lat. and 84°33' to 90°06'E) of the Bay of Bengal, were studied. Out of the 10 species recorded Sagitta enflata was dominant. In the gut of most of the specimens, copepods were encountered. Cannibalistic nature of feeding was also evident. |
