Wave data are analysed for significant wave height (Hs), R.M.S. wave height (Hrms), maximum wave height (Hmax), zero-crossing period (Tz), average period (Tc) and spectral width parameter (E). A scatter diagram relating Hs and Tz is also presented. The range of Hs is wide varying within 30 and 220 cm while Tz is confined to 6 to 15.5 sec, with a maximum occurrence between 6.5 and 8 sec. The percentage occurrence of E indicates that Tz has exceeded Tc in most of the cases. |
