During the 16th cruise of RV Gaveshani water samples were collected at 9 stations from different depths along 2 north-south transects for the determination of total mercury, which was estimated applying cold-vapour atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Concentrations of the metal at the surface varied from 26 to 130 ng 1-1 (av. 77 ng 1-1). |
