Clay fractions of bottom sediment samples, collected during a cruise on INS Rohini, have bben subjected to chemical analysis to understand the distribution pattern of various major and minor elements in the shelf. As a part of the study, the dispersal pattern of P2O5 has been studied. Terrigenous and organic matter sources have been suggested for the P2O5 in the shelf sediments. |
