Estimations of iron concentrations in Mandovi and Zuari estuaries and in the inshore waters were made for 1 yr. High concentrations (0.01-3.6 mg Fe/Litre) were encountered on these waters throughout the year. This has been attributed to the influence of river discharges, which flow through iron ore-bearing terrain. |
