<strong>Simple theory based on the knowledge of Equation of State (EOS) has been developed to study the thermodynamic properties of CaF<sub>2</sub> with fluorite type structure and zinc oxide with wurtzite and rocksalt structure under varying conditions of pressure and temperature. The pressure and temperature dependence of <em>V</em>/<em>V</em><sub>0</sub>, thermal expansivity and isothermal bulk modulus, has been computed. The results are compared with the available experimental data. A good agreement obtained between theory and experiment supports the validity of the present approach.</strong><p> </p> |
