Description Ph. D.
The study was conducted in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The state of Uttar Pradesh has been selected purposely, since it has highest number of KVKs in the country. There are 75 districts in the state and out of which 68 districts are having Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK). The dependent variable of the study was e-Readiness, it was analysed at two levels, individual and institutional. The components of e- Readiness includes infrastructure, accessibility, affordability, skill and policy. The independent variables selected for the study included age, education, experience, job satisfaction, job performance, innovation proneness, organizational climate, decision making pattern and mass media exposure. Whole enumeration method was used i.e. all the KVKs were selected for the study. Whole enumeration method was used i.e., all the Programme Coordinators (PC) and Subject Matter Specialists (SMS) of the KVKs were selected as respondents of the study. The study was conducted in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The state of Uttar Pradesh has been selected purposively, since it has highest number of KVKs in a state. There are 75 districts in the state and 68 districts are having a Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK). Whole enumeration method is used that is all the KVKs were selected for the study. Generally, yield is the ultimate objective of a breeding programme. In the present study in relation to yield, the genotypes Local Selection-2 can be considered as best genotype followed by Local Selection-6 and Local Selection-1, gave promising result. So these genotypes can be used as parent for future breeding programme. It could be observed that variables like, experience, Innovation Proneness, Organizational climate and decision making pattern were correlated with the respondents overall Institutional e-Readiness of KVKs. The variables, Age, Job Performance and Mass Media exposure were found to be highly correlated with e-Readiness as compared to others variables. Rest of the selected variables were found having less correlation. It is evident from the table that job performance and mass media exposure were positively and significantly associated with overall institutional e-Readiness of KVK functionaries. Variables like age, experience, job satisfaction, job performance, organizational climate, decision making pattern and mass media exposure were correlated with the overall Individual e-Readiness of KVKs respondents. It is evident from the table that nine of the independent variables under study shown significant correlation with individual e-Readiness of KVK functionaries.
