Description |
Mast cell tumours (MCT) are one of the most common skin malignancies encountered in canines. They represent 11% to 27% of all malignant skin tumours reported in dogs3. Eighty-three samples from tumour bearing dogs were collected during a study period of six months from Small animal Clinics of Madras Veterinary College Hospital, Chennai – 600 007. Fine needle aspiration biopsy smears and paraffin sections were stained with Leishman-giemsa (LG), haematoxylin and eosin (HE), toluidine blue (TB) and periodic acid Schiff (PAS).
