Description |
A study entitled “Integrated Nutrient Management in “Raikia” French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)” was carried out in the Bhubaneswar Agro-climatic condition to study the performance of Raikia trailing type of French bean with different doses of inorganic fertilizer along with application of FYM, Vermicompost, Bio-fertilizers (Rhizobium + PSB) in seven treatments and four replications. In the experiment it was found that the treatment T5 (75% RDF + 25% Vermicompost + Bio-fertilizer (Rhizobium + PSB)) produced highest plant height, number of pods per plant, pod weight, yield per plant and yield per ha. followed by treatment T3 (75% RDF + 25% Vermicompost). In the experiment T5 produced the highest yield of 23.83 t ha-1 followed by T3 (20.11 t ha-1), T4 (75% RDF + 25% FYM + Bio-fertilizer) 17.90 t ha-1, T6 (75% RDF + 12.5% FYM+12.5% vermicompost+ Bio-fertilizer)16.56 t ha-1, T2 (75% RDF + 25% FYM) 16.37 t ha-1, T1 (50% RDF + 25% FYM + 25% vermicompost) 16.33 t ha-1 and the lowest was recorded in T7 (100% RDF) 14.63 t ha- 1 i.e. control. As observed in the experiment Raikia French bean can be successfully cultivated in winter season in Bhubaneswar, costal Agro-climatic condition and as per the experimental findings an application of (75% RDF + 25% vermicompost + Biofertilizer (Rhizobium + PSB)) doses and application of (75% RDF + 25% vermicompost) was found to produce a yield of 23.83 t ha-1 and 20.11 t ha-1 with B: C ratio 3.11:1 and 2.64:1 respectively. |
