Description |
Three types of protocols for estrous synchronization in the cyclic dairy cows were studied. The protocols were either aimed on just luteolysis or additional use of hormones like estrogen or GnRH which also have effects on follicular dynamics. All the protocols were found 100% effective in induction of estrus. However, use of GnRH type protocol (ovsynch) was found most effective and CIDR-prostaglandin estrogen based protocol showed intermediate and the use of double shot prostaglandin remained third in its effectiveness on synchronization and fertility.
