Description |
This study involved in morphologic and morphometric parameters of mandible of Kanni breed of Tirunelveli District. The distance between the lateral alveolar root and mental foramen and from mental foramen to caudal border of mandible were 1.5 ± 0.26 cm and 11.2 ± 0.53 cm respectively. The maximum length and height of the mandible were 13.7 ± 0.44 cm and 7.0 ± 0.03 cm. The caudal border of the mandible to below of the mandibular foramen is 2.0 ± 0.11 cm. The distance from the caudal border of the mandible to mandibular foramen was 1.3 ± 0.25 and from the mandibular foramen to the border of the mandibular angle is 3.3 ± 0.37 cm. The results were of clinical importance and that would aid the regional anaesthesia of different nerves around the head especially during treating head injury, surgical operation and dental extraction.
