Aflatoxin, a well known mycotoxin elaborated by Aspergillus flayus and Aspergillus parasiticus, is a potent hepatotoxin and carcinogen affecting man and animals. Several methods have been reported on the prevention of production and removal of aflatoxin in feed stuffs (Goldblatt and Dollear, 1977; Lakshmirajam et al., 1984). An aqua-ammonia method used to detoxify aflatoxin in corn by Brekke et al. (1977) was tried on compounded poultry feed.
