Description |
The protocol to derive retinal cells from embryonic chicken forms the basic culture system for studying neuronal regeneration and cellular trans-differentiation process. This is a valuable tool for neurotoxicological investigations and could serve as an ideal and convenient model system in neuronal derivation and would be applicable in in vitro toxicological evaluation of drugs, understanding mechanisms of differentiation. This methodology would serve as an in vitro model for retinal regeneration and cellular transition.
