Description |
Infectious laryngotracheitis infection in a multi-age commercial flock was observed with respiratory symptoms. Ten to 15 per cent drop in production and six per cent cumulative mortality were recorded. On postmortem examination the birds showed haemorrhagic tracheitis. Isolation of clinical samples in embryonated chicken eggs revealed several pock like lesions on CAM and it was further confirmed by the presence of eosinophilic intranuclear inclusion bodies in the trachea of affected birds by histopathological examination.
