Description |
Chronic hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy is a pathological disease process occurring in bones secondary to chronic disease within the thorax. The primary etiology includes primary metastatic pulmonary neoplasm, pulmonary abscess, canine tuberculosis, bacterial endocarditis and oesophageal granuloma (Panciera et al., 2000). Burk and Ackerman (1996) reported that the limb swelling and periosteal proliferation are earliest signs of an asymptomatic thoracic lesion. |
