Field experiment was conducted during November 2010 to May 2011 at Horticulture Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (U.P.) to study the ?Effect of vermicompost and biocontrol agents on growth, flowering, postharvest life and corm yield in gladiolus cv. J. V. Gold.? Experiment was laid out in Randomised Block Design with three replications and twelve treatments in each replication. On the basis of the experimental findings described above, it may conclude that the production of gladiolus was significantly affected with the application of vermicompost and biocontrol agents? viz. Trichoderma harzianum, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis. Application of Trichoderma Pseudomonas +Bacillus +vermicompost 5 kg was found best treatment among the all treatment combinations and had beneficial effects on plant growth, flowering, postharvest life of gladiolus cv. J. V. Gold. The different characteristics viz. length of longest leaf, plant height, length of spike, duration of flowering, diameter of corm, length of spike at first day, third day, sixth day and ninth day, and weight of spike at first, third, sixth and ninth day, dry weight of spike, vase life (days) were significantly influenced by the application of Trichoderma+Pseudomonas +Bacillus+vermicompost 5 kg.
