Lead poisoning in horse occurs when contaminated pastures contain as much as 100 to 200 ppm of lead in the foliage. Horses may be more sensitive to lead poisoning than cattle(Murphy, 1996). Marwari is a breed of horse which is native of Marwar areas of Rajasthan State. Hence, the present study was undertaken to know the presence or absence of lead levels in the serum of Marwari breed of horses. |
