Description |
The present study was undertaken to evaluate egg quality traits of four varieties of Japanese quails. It is concluded that egg weight, egg volume, shape index and surface area were higher in English white. Except shell percentage, Haugh unit and yolk percentage, all the internal qualities were more in English white. In Wild brown, shape index and specic gravity were higher than other varieties. No signicant differences were observed in the values of egg width, albumen index, yolk index and yolk/albumen ratio among quail varieties studied. |
