Description |
After four and a half decades, a case of rhinosporidiosis has been recorded in a cow in Chidgleput district of Tamil Nadu. Mucus and nasal polyps wero collected from 60 geads if cattle. Mucus examination was done immediately. The nasal polyps preserved in 10% formalin were sectioned and stained with haematoxylin and eosin. The reported case was a grey coloured six year old non-descript cow with symptoms of snoring, mucopurulent discharge and dyspnoea along with mustard to bean sized, sessile, pink nasal growths on either nostrils.
