Description |
Oral papilloma are tumors of contagious origin caused by Papilloma virus, a small, doublestranded DNA virus of Papovaviridae family mainly affecting young dog less than a year with no breed or sex prevalence ( Moulton , 1978). The virus of oral papilomma exhibits great tissue and host specificity and the growth are confined to buccal mucosa, tongue, muzzle, lips, palate, pharynx and epiglottis with an incubation period of 30 – 33 days ( Van Kruiningen, 1995 ). A case of oral papilloma in a dog is reported. |
