Description This study was conducted on 74 cows and heifers with various
reproductive disorders to explore the use of CIDR insert as a part of
regimen in the condition of COD, CIDR + GnRH based protocol
proved the most effective over the CIDR + PGF2α and solo use of
CIDR. CIDR + GnRH protocol caused 66.6% recovery and 37.5% CR in the recovered cases in their 1st insemination.
CIDR + estrogen based protocol was 100% effective in the
induction of estrus in both prepubertal heifers and post partum anestrus cows and the 1st insemination CR was 66.6% and 54.5%,
respectively.
Solo use of CIDR was also effective in improving the CR in
repeat breeder cows and in cows with hydrometra condition. In these
conditions, after treatment 54.5% and 40% CR was recorded in their 1st insemination, respectively.
