The microbial air pollutants affect the health and cause discomfort to the livestock and stockmen interfering with the general performance of the animal. The severity of the stress and incidence of disease can be brought down by reducing the microbes in the air. Monitoring of the indoor environment is necessary to reduce microbial air pollution level and to improve the health and performance of animals. The present study was undertaken to assess the level of total bacterial contamination in the air of sheep houses in relation to floor types.
