Based on the performance study on Exotic cattle Breeding Farm Eachenkottai, it was concluded that imported purebred Jersey cattle did not perform satisfactorily and it appeared that the imported Australian Jersey cows had better adaptability over imported Danish Jersey cattle under tropical climatic conditions of Tamil Nadu. The distinctly lower performance of imported Danish Jersey cattle might be due to genotype x environment interaction and decline in general management during the period of maintenance of imported Danish Jersey cattle.
