Description |
In respect of interaction of treatments, July grafted plants and side grafting observed maximum success in various growth characteristics except length of root stock, diameter of rootstock and height of grafted plants. However, grafting time July and side grafting resulted in early bud sprouting and leaf opening, length of scion and diameter of scion, number of leaves. The highest graft establishment percentage, survival percentage were recorded in treatment combination (T1M2) side grafting in July, which was followed by (T2M1) veneer grafting in August. Hence, among all the treatments Side grafting in July was found to be suitable for higher success of mango propagation in C.G. region.
