Description |
Chitosan oligosaccharides (COS, Chitooligomers, ≤10 kDa) are the hydrolytic derivatives of chitosan. Unlike chitosan, COS is readily soluble in water due to their shorter chain lengths and gained increased attention in the last decade due to its numerous advantageous over the polymer chitosan. The study focussed on the microbial production of chitosanase and its application for the preparation of COS. |
