Description An experiment was conducted during 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 with object to standardize the length of rhizome and number of feeder roots for successful clonal propagation of alstromeria (Alstromeria hybrids) through in vivo technique. The experiments was carried out under semi-controlled polyhouse conditions in the month of October. The significantly higher percentage of successful survival of plants the maximum plant multiplication rate was recorded by 1.0-1.5cm length of rhizome with 1-2 feeder roots, shoot height and number of levels per shoot were recorded highest in treatment consisting of length of rhizome of 2.1-2.6cm with feeder roots.
