Description |
Environmental contamination by persistent chlorinated pesticides has evoked major concern due to the presence of their residues in the environment. The quantitative distribution of chlorinated pesticides residues in the marine sediments from different regions along the central west coast of India were determined. The gas chromatography technique was applied for the identifications and quantification of the pesticides. Residues of BHC, Aldrine, Dieldrin, PP'-DDT, OP'-DDT. PP'-DDE, OP'-DDE and PP'-DDD were identified and quantified in the sediments
