| Description |
Total mercury (Hg) in water, sediments and animals along the coast of India is estimated. Water samples were collected on board of R.V. Gaveshani.The zooplankton samples were collected by Indian Ocean Standard Net and Heron Tranter nets of 500 mesh size, the fish samples were collected by trolling lines, scoop nets and at landing sites. Sediment samples were collected by La Fondietz Snapper. The Hg concentrations values are compared with safe limits for pollution
