| Description |
This report presents the results of the field observations and theoretical studies on the coastal processes at Baga, Calangute and Miramar beaches along the North Goa coast, India. The field observations undertaken for a period of one month during 16th November-15th December 1999, are as follows: (1) daily beach profiles, (2) daily littoral environmental observations and (3) beach sediment samples for grain size distribution. Longshore sediment transport rate is estimated theoretically based on the observed parameters. Beach volumes have been computed and the net erosion/accretion of the beaches are reported.
