Description |
By the term, "Bioactive molecules" we generally mean a range of compounds produced by living fauna and flora the effect of which tend to improve the status of mans health, wealth and overall welfare These molecules could be proteins, carbohydrates, lipids or even nucleic acids and their derivatives Enzymes or their inhibitors are most sought after for various applications from food to medical realms Peptides have been useful in the medical field Polysachharides and oligosachharides and lipids have varied uses from environment to energy sectors The talk would restrict to bioactive molecules produced by marine bacteria, touching upon some interesting aspects and suggesting the way forward for harnessing them better.
