Cauli flower (Brassica oleracea L Var. Botrytis) occupies an important place amongst cole crops due to its delicious taste, flavour and nutritive value. It is rich in proteins, carbohydrates, minerals Vitamin B and C (Chatterjee 1986). The cultivated area under this crop in India is about 90,000 hectares (Kale et al 1986).
