Description |
Cauliflower {Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L), a member of Crucifereae, has probably been rightly described as an aristocrat of cole family, when its importance is judged in Indian context for its delicious taste, flavour and nutritional value. It is a native of mediterranean region and was introduced in India in 1822 (Chatterjee and Swarup, 1972). The initial introductions were Cornish types followed by the European types.
