Description |
Cutworms are prolific, polyphagous insects that infest cultivated crops throughout the world. The cutworm larvae, as the name implies, cut plant seedlings at the base of stem and feed on the leaves. They generally feed on seedlings between dusk to dawn and keep hiding among the crop refuge or in the soil during daytime. As a result of their cosmopolitan distribution they occur under a wide variety of climatic and nutritional conditions.
