Description |
Kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa var. deliciosa) native to Yangtse valley, China (Nihoul, 1976) is the most recent fruit crop being successfully grown and marketed in the world. This is perhaps the best known nutritious fruit amongst the group of soft berries. One of the most appealing characteristics of kiwifruit is its attractive bright green flesh and delicate aroma. The kiwifruit is often promoted as a 'health fruit' due to its high ascorbic acid content which is twice than that in citrus and ten times than that in apple.
