Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis, L.) is one of the most important vegetable crops grown throughout the World. Among cole crops, it is next to cabbage in importance with regard to acDrage and production in the World covering an area of 42300 hectares with annual production of 700,000 metric .tonnes of which more than 25 per cent area is under snowball cauliflowers (Anonymous, 1993) and is prized for snow white attractive curds. The produce of hills is sold on premium prices as compared to the produce of plains because of special aroma.
